The Book Club Game

Fun and empowering, The Book Club Game’s two editions, The Book Club Game: Kids and Adults Edition. for preschool through 6th  grades, played with or without adults, and The Book Club Game: Ages 12-102 build comprehension, communication, and a genuine love for reading.  Here you will experience the unique questions, plays and strategies of the game to try yourselves through the titles suggested by the game and/or any story of your choice.

The games’ all-inclusive and multi-modality learning strategies engage critical thinking development, bonding those of all ability levels and ages. Non readers, reluctant readers and struggling readers can easily play with advanced, motivated readers, where love for reading becomes highly contagious.  The Kids and Adult Edition has an additional game for informational reading. 

Comprehension & Critical Thinking

Players share ANY story of their choice, then make it come alive as they journey through it together answering generic comprehension questions that pop them into the plot, celebrate the characters, explore the themes and recreate the settings. As they savor the story together, complementary questions guide them through the plots, characters, themes and settings of their own lives as well as through these same story elements of other stories. The questions’ connections and reflections illuminate the deeper meanings and develop critical thinking with each story played. Sharing perspectives develops critical thinking on still another level.

Book Lists

Throughout the game the players are also introduced to and revisit many award-winning authors. Book lists that establish this play also provide them with a resource of excellent titles to choose from by authors who have written many more books to enjoy.  Players also have a chance to share their favorite stories and create a personal book list of those that they would like to read.

The game ensures focus on the elements of the story that automatically build deep comprehension, uncovering magical messages that motivate more reading.
